Pricing & Insurance

  • You can view our service pricing in the SERVICES section of the website, where you'll find a full breakdown of prices for all services. 

  • Yes, we are in-network with Aetna and United Healthcare. For Blue Cross and CIGNA, we are considered out-of-network (OON); however, we assist patients in trying to get reimbursement. We strongly recommend confirming your coverage with your insurance carrier before scheduling a visit. Patients with Blue Cross or CIGNA may also explore the possibility of a gap exception if no in-network providers are available in your area. While we do our best to support reimbursement efforts, it is essential to confirm your benefits and coverage directly with your insurance provider beforehand. Please give insurance our NPI 1255873527 number. Latch On To Me is not responsible for confirming your benefits. If insurance ends up reimbursing and your insurance company sends the check to patient, the patient is responsible for sending the check to provider in a timely manner. If this is not done then patient is responsible for the entire amount that insurance reimbursed. Also please note that if insurance reimburses less then the discounted cash rate at the time of the session, patient is responsible for the difference in payment.

  • Coverage for lactation visits depends on your insurance provider. Federal law (the Affordable Care Act/ACA) and the State of NJ recognize lactation visits as preventative care, but some plans may only cover a limited number of visits and not guarantee 100% coverage. Many insurance companies fail to effectively inform clients and their representatives about lactation coverage, making it unnecessarily complicated.

  • Aetna often covers six lactation visits under code S9433, but specifics may vary by plan, and cost-sharing could apply after those visits. Many companies claim to offer a set number of “covered” or “free” visits; however, both parents and babies are billed, which means you may still be responsible for a portion of the costs.

    Even if your insurance denies coverage or the process becomes overwhelming, remember that seeing a lactation consultant has tremendous value. We do so much more than just breastfeeding. We can help save costs in the long run by avoiding formula expenses or future medical treatments like oral therapies or dental care.

  • Yes, you can still schedule a consultation. We will bill for your baby’s portion of the visit once your baby is added to the policy. You need to let us know when baby is added or else we will charge the credit card on file for baby’s portion. 

  • If your baby’s primary insurance is different, you will need reach out to baby’s insurance to get approval for the visit. If insurance doesn’t cover the baby’s portion, you will be responsible for that portion of the cost.

  • Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee reimbursement for self-pay visits. We will provide you with the necessary paperwork to submit to your insurance, but reimbursement is subject to your plan’s benefits. If we submit the claim then it can take a little time to hear back from insurance, we may need you to also call to get the claims processed faster but we can still not guarantee reimbursement. If insurance pays less then our discounted cash pay rate for same day payment then patient will be responsible for the difference in payment.

  • Yes, for a $15 fee, we can submit reimbursement claims on your behalf, but this does not guarantee reimbursement from your insurance. We will appeal claims 3x and after that it is up to patient to get payment from insurance.

Consultations and Visits

  • We provide in-office, home, and Telehealth visits to accommodate your needs.

  • Our office is conveniently located at 16 Old Brookside Dr Randolph NJ. Unit 7. It is in the Whole Health PT office. You must drive behind the building to find the office. 

  • Yes, we have a comfortable waiting room available for your convenience.

  • Absolutely. You are welcome to feed your baby if needed in the waiting room. 

  • Yes, parking is available right outside the office.

  • Yes, we encourage you to bring a support person with you to your session.

  • After booking, you will receive an email with instructions on what to bring to your appointment.

  • Simply click on the "Book An Appointment" button on our website to schedule your session.

  • No, your credit card is only used to secure your appointment. Charges will only be applied if you’re a self-pay patient, for any cancelations within 24 hours or if insurance does not cover your full visit cost. We will send 1 text and 1 email letting you know we need payment. Payment can also be paid via Zelle (aliza@latchontome.com), Venmo (alizabfsupport using code 5103) or credit card (3% fee) on file. If we do not hear back after 5 days, we will charge the credit card on file. Receipt will be sent to you once payment was made. 

  • Travel Fees for In-Home Sessions
    We charge a travel fee for all in-home sessions. The fee ranges from $25 to $100, depending on the distance from the Lactation Consultant (LC) visiting you. Once your appointment is booked and your location is confirmed, we will inform you of the exact fee.

    To avoid a travel fee, you are welcome to schedule a visit with Aliza at her office in Randolph, NJ.

    Additional Costs

    • If there are tolls or paid parking required, the patient is responsible for covering these costs.

    • If you purchase a flange or any other tools during your session, payment is due at the time of the visit. Payments can be made in person or charged to the credit card on file.

Appointments and Scheduling

  • We understand that life with a baby can be unpredictable, but we require at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling. When you book an appointment, that time is reserved specifically for you, and late cancellations or no-shows prevent us from assisting other families who need help during this critical time. A $200 fee will apply for late cancellations or missed appointments. If you reschedule, this fee will be applied toward your next visit, and if insurance covers the session, we will reimburse the fee. However, rescheduling and then canceling again will result in the fee being charged without reimbursement. We appreciate your cooperation in helping us avoid scheduling issues and ensuring we can provide care to all families in need.

  • Please let us know if you're running late, and we will do our best to accommodate you with the time remaining in your appointment. Follow-up visits can be scheduled as needed.

  • It can be challenging to predict exactly when your baby will need to eat, and while we do our best to schedule sessions during a feeding time, this isn’t always possible. If your baby is hungry before the session, you can try to hold them off by offering a small amount of milk or allowing them to suck on a pacifier or your finger. This can help ensure they are ready to feed during the session for optimal support and guidance.

  • Masks are not required, but if you would like us to wear one please it have it available and we will be happy to wear it. 

  • If you are sick, we will need to reschedule the session. However, if someone in your household is sick but not in close proximity to where the session will take place, we can proceed as planned. In such cases, please have a mask available for us to use, or you may choose to visit our office in Randolph, NJ, or opt for a telehealth session until everyone is feeling better.

  • If you have any animals that might interrupt our session, please ensure they are secured or put away before we arrive. This helps us focus on providing you with the support you need without unnecessary distractions.

    • Wi-Fi Access: The Lactation Consultant will need access to Wi-Fi during the session. Please ensure this is ready to avoid any delays.

    • Arrival Time: Lactation Consultants travel across New Jersey to accommodate home sessions. Please note they may arrive 30 minutes early or late depending on traffic or delays from previous sessions. We appreciate your understanding and flexibility.delays.

    • Parking and Directions: If there are special instructions for parking or accessing your home, kindly inform us in advance so we can plan accordingly.

  • Yes, we absolutely work with families who choose to bottle feed or use a combination of feeding methods. We offer expert guidance on bottle feeding and bottle refusal, among other services.

  • Yes, of course! We welcome all families and are committed to providing inclusive care for everyone.

  • Yes, we are highly trained to assess tongue, lip, and cheek ties and their impact on feeding. We can also guide you through the pre and post-frenectomy process.

  • Choosing a qualified International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) is crucial for your breastfeeding journey. While IBCLCs have undergone extensive training, it’s important to recognize that not all IBCLCs possess the specialized experience required to address every issue, such as identifying tongue ties.

    IBCLCs are integral members of your healthcare team, providing support from pregnancy through weaning. We help parents navigate challenges related to breastfeeding, pumping, and bottle feeding, ensuring that each visit is tailored to your and your baby’s unique needs.

    Selecting the right consultant is essential; working with someone who lacks both the necessary training and experience can derail your breastfeeding experience and lead to additional issues. When seeking support, always verify that your lactation consultant is an IBCLC and check their experience in the specific areas where you need help.
